Evening Wear Gowns & Couture Bridal Wedding Dresses - Dallas Texas - Darius Cordell Designs Inc

We truly appreciate your interest in Darius Cordell Designs and we thank you for visiting our website and considering our garments for your very special occasion.

Because the internet has become what it is, we felt it necessary to take a moment to give our potential clients some necessary information to use when considering our design company to make your very special garment.

We began marketing our designs in 1996 and thanks to the internet our website was born in early 1999. Since then we have had great success using the internet as our catalog. We sell hundreds of dresses per year (via mail order & by appointment) to clients from all over the globe - many of them being repeat clients. customer commentswww.dariuscordell.com

I am very proud of the quality of our product and our exceptional record. But we are human and this is a man made product so mistakes can happen. Out of 10 years of business I can count on one hand those extremely few mistakes. Regardless, the Darius Cordell Designs policy is if we make a mistake…we will fix it. Depending on the circumstances even if our clients make a mistake we will even accept the return (with a restocking fee) and remake it for them. So we can be extremely flexible in many situations.

Sometimes clients will wait to the last minute to place their order and then expect the unreasonable even though we disclose on our site that normal production time can take approximately 12 weeks. It is understood that all Darius Cordell inc garments are hand made to order items that can take approximately 12 weeks to produce. But an exact completion and/or delivery time can not and is not given. We make sure to have all clients print, read, fill out and sign our order form contract prior ro us starting production on an order request. All of this is disclosed up front to them on our site and on that contract that they sign yet some clients feel as though they are not being treated properly (or have been ripped off) when we remind them of this disclosure and or when their item arrives in the normal time that was disclosed. This is unfortunate but we have concluded it is part of doing business via an online catalog so we just try to make sure clients understand fully prior to starting their order. Most of the time it works but sometimes…not so much.

The only other issues we have ever had that we could not fix are from a few potential clients who may have mistakenly overlooked some important words on our site which resulted in them not having the important info they needed. And unfortunately once made aware of their innocent oversight they become frustrated (feeling as though they did something wrong) and then they sometimes may have misdirected that personal frustration.

Nevertheless, it is my hope that our true Darius Cordell Couture clients will see that potential consumers becoming frustrated due to their very simple and innocent oversights or with us trying to help them through this process by asking them to carefully review the information we provide to them (and them feeling as though they have done something wrong when they don’t see something at first glance) does not constitute bad service, a rip off or a legitimate complaint regarding how we assist them.

I sincerely hope that any wise consumer will be more concerned with what our repeat clients have said in their emails to us about our actual service, website & product. That is why I have posted some of those lovely responses on our site for all potential clients to review prior to making a purchase. Click here to see ”

Top five mistakes brides can make when looking for thier couture wedding dress designs by Darius Cordell Inc

Wednesday, July 4th, 2007

5. EXPECTING A PERFECT FIT TO BE THE DETERMINING FACTOR FOR IF A DRESS IS A WINNER OR NOT.  many times the dress off the rack was not made for you whcih is why it may not look good on.  if a dress is made for your body then 9 times out of 10 it will look much better and completely differnt on you.  so figure out what style and cut you like then have it made to your body.

4. TRYING TO PUT TOO MANY IDEALS TOGETHER IN ONE BRIDAL DRESS.  sometimes brides will see so many different styles on designer website links and in the magazines taht they like and it can become overwhelming to them and they begin to not focus on waht they really want.  ask yourself some questions…do i want sleeves, do i want my back out, do I want my bust line to show, etc…. answereing questions like these while you are not lookign at picutres will help you determine what style of dress you want and need as well as like.

3. LETTING OTHER PEOPLES OPINION ABOUT YOUR WEDDING GOWN SWAY WHAT YOU REALLY WANT.  many times the bride wants to please those who will be looking at her (mother of the bride, mother of the groom, and weding party attendants) but instead the bride needs to please herself only.  if the bride feesl good in it and likes what she picks them no one elses opinion matters.

2. TRYING ON TOO MANY BRIDAL GOWNS & WEDDING DRESSES.  sometimes too many options makes it hard for some people to focus and make a decision.  have your criteria already in your head or written down before you go to try on dress.  and dont try on dresses just to be doing it try on only teh dresses taht match or meet your creiteria you will save your sefl time, frustration and the potential of becoming overwhemlmed with too many choices.

1. WAITING TO THE LAST MINUTE TO ORDER YOUR BRIDAL GOWN AND THEN EXPECTING A MIRICLE.  We have seen it happen time and time again where a bride will put off purchasing a dress becuase she wants to lose weight.  this is more pyshological than it is rational.  for in most if not all cases a wedding dress is going to have to be altered down right before the wedding event anyway.  sometimes brides will focus too much on losing weight and not what is really important.  and then after months of tryng to lose weight they order late and then add teh stress of wondering if it will get in on time etc.  rush orders only casue problems and stress for all involved.  so it is always better to order your wedding at the very least 6 months before your wear date.  Then if you lose the weight you can alway have it taken in which is much better than not haveing a dress on your wear date.  always allow ample time for production, in some cases shipping , tailoring, picuteres and any modifications or cahnges that you may ultimately want to your bridal gown.
